HomePlace has been transforming lives since 1989.
We are a registered NDIS provider.
We support people with intellectual and other disabilities to live safely, confidently and independently in places they are proud to call home.
We provide support and services across Adelaide, SA.
No matter what kind of support a participant receives, the HomePlace Way is all about helping them grow, learn, connect with others, and live a joyful, meaningful life.
The HomePlace workforce is a team of skilled support workers with combined experience that exceeds 1500 years.
HomePlace does not employ health professionals – instead we partner with health professionals so that we can implement your recommendations with the people we support to enable them to stay as healthy, active, and independent as possible.
We collaborate with:
HomePlace gives support that’s focused on each person’s individual needs. We understand what the people we support need assistance with, what they want to achieve, and the challenges they face in living safely, independently, and being part of their community.
With the person’s permission, we can give you reports and share what we’ve observed of the person’s abilities – and what they are unable to do without support – and the characteristics of the support needed by them so that they can complete tasks, learn skills and participate in daily life safely.
This information may help you with your assessments and recommendations so that we can support the person to live well, and manage their health and wellbeing as best as possible.
We’ll follow your recommendations once our staff have had the right training and/or instructions from you.
If there are any sudden changes in the person’s health or behaviour, we’ll let you know and help arrange appointments so they can see you.
Our person-centred approach focuses on truly knowing each person we support — their goals, interests, preferences, and support needs — to expand their life roles, independence, opportunities for learning and joy, and to build community connections.
We call it “the HomePlace Way”. It is the cornerstone of everything we do.
HomePlace aims to exceed required standards. We do this by:
HomePlace has a detailed supervision, learning and coaching program for every staff member. Our model is unique, and an example of best practice in continuously improving support for people living with disability.
