Services with a difference

The impact of the HomePlace Way can be seen in the achievements of each person that we support.

Life role development

We aim to expand the roles that the people we support have at home and in the community. These link closely to the person’s talents and interests.

Positive behaviour support

Is a consistent feature of the HomePlace Way and is core to how we support people who live with disability.

We implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans that have been developed by Behaviour Support Practitioners. These are designed to:

  • help people have a good quality of life
  • apply an evidence-informed way of understanding and changing behaviour
  • focus on the person and the people around them
  • value and protect the rights of each person
  • guide staff on the best way to support a person, at the right times and in the right environment

Microenterprise and Shared support

The BELLES are an example of an innovative way that several ladies share HomePlace support to nurture their common interest and goals.
